EVISU Unveils New Concept Store at Harbour City

EVISU, the legendary Japanese denim brand, unveils its new concept store at Harbour City in Tsim Sha Tsui, which marks the third one featuring their latest store design concept following the flagship store at Omotesando in Tokyo and the Dunhua store in Taiwan.
To celebrate the occasion, an opening party was held on 7th May, attended by the city's trendsetters, including singer-songwriter Tyson Yoshi, rapper JB (Jiggle Boy), singer Mischa Ip, and Kira Chan, among others. The event generated a palpable buzz, infusing the fashion scene with an unparalleled sense of excitement.

The EVISU Harbour City store
Spanning over 85 square meters, the new store draws its inspiration from Evisu’s Omotesando flagship store in Tokyo. The interior concept embraces a sleek and chic aesthetic, with "Japan Blue" and white serving as the primary color palettes. Adding a touch of futurism, mirrors adorn the ceiling while lights shaped like the brand's iconic seagull logo create an ambiance that is both contemporary and forward-thinking. Within this captivating setting, customers can explore an array of EVISU's classic collections, including the timeless EVISU Evergreen, the athleisure line EVISUKURO, and the EVISU women's wear. The result is an impeccable shopping experience that truly showcases the brand's essence.

EVISU Brand Story
EVISU was founded in Osaka Japan in 1991 and is named after the Japanese God of prosperity Ebisu. Initially only around 14 pairs of jeans a day were created, each one caringly hand-painted with the now famous seagull logo. EVISU captured the imagination of the detail-obsessed Japanese fashion crowd and spurred a revival of interest in vintage denim which spread around the world. Inspired by a quote “Before anyone did anything, Elvis did everything” by John Lennon for his ultimate appreciation to the “King of Rock n’ Roll” Elvis Presley, who become the legendary icon of Rock n’ Roll with his creative productions and outstanding performances, EVISU’s founder Mr. Hidehiko Yamane took on the notion of the quote and adapted it to become the slogan of EVISU today. The brand starts using the slogan from its 20th anniversary ready-to-wear collection till now. As a pioneer in denim custom distressing and detail-oriented designs, EVISU strives to live out the notion of the company’s slogan and make the brand stand as the icon in the history of denim wear.
EVISUKURO
Classic patterns and culture in EVISU denim and fashionwear highlight a brand mission that communicates traditional Japanese heritage to fashionistas around the world, while presenting an attitude of challenging the status quo is expressed with bold design elements at the same time. In 2016, EVISUKURO, an EVISU launched diffusion line, was launched to mark the brand’s 25th anniversary, revealing EVISU’s contemporary and athletic identity with brand new silhouettes, fabrication and tonality. “KURO” is the Japanese for black. As the name implies, EVISUKURO is evolved from a theme of monochrome.
