Palace works together again with legendary denim dons Evisu: rolling the dice on a fresh new collaboration for Spring 24. Evisu’s cult raw denim is at the centre of the collection as ever, this time featuring an intricate and playful dice brocade. Embroidered onto baggy five pocket jeans - in shorts and longs - and two pocket jackets, in both light wash and raw dark denim versions.

A 100% Lambswool Cowichan knit red and cream cardigan is well snug and features oversize dice and bold “EVISU” and “JAPAN” arm branding. Zip up hoodies come in grey marl, black and olive, with trucker hats that also feature the dice brocade. Simpler T’s bear both brands logo lock up, while the collection is completed by its playful accessories: a heavy denim tote and a very special - very lucky - dice set.
To celebrate the launch, Palace have created another Palace Evisu campaign with some music talent they love at its heart. Following DJ and musician and lifelong Detroit resident John FM around his hometown, the film is directed by Palace’s longtime friend and collaborator Rollo Jackson. A documentary piece about an under-recognised creative genius, the film also features Palace pro skater Jamal Smith, up-and-coming local artists Hi-Tech, and in a starring role: the vast and hard and loud and beautiful city of Detroit.

About EVISU
Founded in Osaka, Japan, in 1991, EVISU takes its name from the Japanese mythological figure Ebisu. In its early days, the brand could only produce around fourteen pairs of jeans per day, with each pair hand-painted with a seagull motif on the back pocket. EVISU's passion for denim and meticulous attention to detail quickly gained favor in the demanding Japanese fashion industry, sparking a global trend in vintage denim. EVISU's commitment to quality and focus over the past two decades has earned the brand acclaim and popularity among denim collectors and fashion enthusiasts worldwide, solidifying its place as a classic in the history of denim.
"BEFORE ANYONE DID ANYTHING EVISU DID EVERYTHING"
EVISU's slogan is inspired by a quote from John Lennon of The Beatles praising the "King of Rock and Roll," Elvis Presley: "Before anyone did anything, Elvis did everything." EVISU's founder, Hidehiko Yamane, adapted this quote as the brand's slogan. The brand has consistently stood as a pioneer in denim fashion, known for its unique sand washing techniques and intricate details. EVISU remains true to its core values, becoming an enduring symbol in the history of denim.

PALACE has designed and launched hugely successful collaborative projects with the likes of Ralph Lauren, Adidas, Reebok, Gore-tex, Avirex and Oakley. FW2018 saw the launch of PALACE’s collaboration with legendary American label Ralph Lauren and it was the latter’s first ever collaboration in their illustrious fifty-year history. PALACE has also regularly worked with big names in the fashion photography industry, where recent campaigns have been shot by David Sims and Alasdair Mclellan. The iconic PALACE lookbooks, for the last five seasons, have been shot by world-renowned Juergen Teller. PALACE’s in-house marketing team has produced and directed several commercials for the brand that have become viral and won awards. PALACE’s fan/friend/Oscar[1]nominated actor Jonah Hill has starred in three PALACE ads, one of which won a CANNES Lion honour in 2017. Irreverent, disruptive, witty and always surprising, PALACE’s advertising, like their products, draws together the brand’s aesthetic sensibility with their anarchic energy of London’s street skateboarding culture. Straddling the worlds of high fashion, streetwear and core skate, PALACE is ten years deep and continues to be on a roll.
